Naruto's fight was cool and meaningful, Shikamaru's fight was funny.

Key Takeaways:
-Even though things like destiny and inescapable fate seem to haunt our dreams, never stop believing in yourself! We were all born cursed and bounded by circumstance, don't let that deter you! Even if we may all lead toward the destination of death, at least, when we pursue our dreams, we can say we lived a life worth lived. ( )

Okay, so, even though Naruto's fight against Neji was all kinds of awesome with the long missing adulations of the crowd, this is where Shikamaru really starts to really shine. The end of that battle was so funny, and it accomplished so damn much that he became the top choice for any subsequent missions later. ( )
