Description
In the dark days after the events in the book Gust Front, but before the primary invasion, the Chancellor of Germany faces a critical decision. Over the years, with military cutbacks, the store of experienced military personnel had simply dwindled. After the destruction of Northern Virginia, he realized that it was necessary to tap the one group he had sworn never, ever, to recall: the few remaining survivors of the Waffen SS. Watch On the Rhine is perhaps the most unbiased, and brutal, look show more at the inner workings of the Waffen SS in history. Meticulously researched, it explores all that was good, and evil, about the most infamous military force in history using the backdrop of the Posleen invasion as a canvas. At the publisher's request, this title is sold without DRM (Digital Rights Management).

Taking place at about the same time as the first 3 books in this series, this takes place across the Atlantic in Germany, primarily. A slightly different style than the previous books, quite probably attributable to Tom Kratman's influence, it is still an entertaining read. Not the best of the series so far, and it took me a bit to get into it, quite possibly due to having a whole new set of characters to get familiarized with. It also throws in a bit more of humanity's backlash at the Darhel in the epilogue.
Good, but did it really need to be SS
