This is a wonderful story about a West Highland White Terrier illustrated by Caldecott Winner Susan Jefferies. When McDuff finds himself lost and away from school, he is rescued by a lonely senior citizen who takes care of him. The illustrations in this book were so lifelike and captured the way Westies move so perfectly. I think this is a really good book especially for patrons who enjoy books about dogs.
Library book. We loved this book about a little dog! Adorable illustrations and a happy ending.
Cute but rather insubstantial. But it's a whole series, so maybe some of the others are better. I'll check.
Ali loved the McDuff stories (21 months). The illustrations are captivating and these books give you a cozy feeling.

McDuff was on his bed outside, when a rabbit caught his eye, and he chased after it. As he was chasing the rabbit, his collar came off. Someone picked him up and when they got by their house McDuff started to bark.
