Description

Give a SEAL an inch, and he'll take your heart.

An Out of Uniform story.

Lieutenant Will Charleston has waited fifteen long years to show up as anything other than a one-pixel blip on Mackenzie Wade's romantic radar. If a powerful storm is what he needs to send her into his arms, he'll take it. Once the hot sex is over, though, she seems determined to kick him right back into the friend zone.

Not this time. This time, he's going to teach her the meaning of tenacious.

Mackenzie has always had show more feelings for Will, feelings she fights with all her strength. He's her best friend, her safety net. The one man who's not scared of her accursed psychic gift. No doubt he drives her wild in bed, but their night of passion was more than a mistake. It generated a tragic vision of the future, one that leaves her more confused—and afraid—than ever.

Problem is, Will knows her too well. Plus he's a SEAL to the bone. And they don't like to lose...

Navy SEAL, Lt. Will Charleston has been best friends with Mackenzie Wade since high school. Will has always had a crush on Mac, but she has never given any indication that she might feel the same way. After her break up with her boyfriend, Dan, she kisses Will. Now he's determined to make a move and finally get Mac where he wants her, in his arms forever.

Mac has had a crush on Will since she was fifteen. She resists him with everything she has because she doesn't want to jeopardize their close relationship by ruining it with sex. Her one and only shared kiss with Will leaves her wanting him even more desperately. When she's plagued by vivid, erotic dreams involving her and Will, she's scared to death. But are her dreams really just show more dreams or visions? Having a psychic gift has earned her nothing but trouble and leaves her feeling like a freak; it's the reason most men have dumped her. The only person who believes her is Will. When he shows up unexpectedly at her house the night of her most vivid vision, she knows that what she has just seen is about to come to pass. Their steamy night of wild passion comes to an abrupt end when he pleads with her to let him love her and move from friend territory to couple territory. Too afraid, she denies him that wish and hides out in the bathroom where she has a vision of Will.

JHC, it seems with each story the guys just keep getting hotter. Will takes the cake, just sayin'. Mac annoyed the ever living crap out of me with her indecisiveness. Though Will liquified my bones, he was a douche for going along with the ridiculous plan Shelby and Holly had cooked up to help him make Mac jealous so she'd finally acknowledge her feelings. And I thought some guys were stupid; those two women were downright idiotic. I still loved it for Will's prowess in the bedroom ;)

Honestly, this book was my least favorite out of all of the Out of Uniform series. For some reason, I just didn’t click with the characters. Mac drove me a little nuts because she refused to even entertain the idea of being with Will. Hello?! I wanted to yell, “He is a hot Navy SEAL and has been your best friend for years….how would you not click as a couple?! How could you not think he wouldn’t stand by you and your psychic abilities?” Anyways, but other than that, I found it a good read. Of course, Will was super sexy and could make a girl swoon.

Will had me hooked from the very beginning of this book. He was basically everything I want in an alpha hero. Mackenzie (Mac for short, which, ngl, had me confused a lot of the book because I kept reading it as a man's name) wasn't my favorite heroine. I really enjoyed their story, though I'm a sucker for best-friends-to-more. All in all, a cute, fun, sexy read. I'd definitely re-read this one.
Very hot scenes within the book, but the psychic bits felt pretty contrived and half ass. Had the heroine's "issue" been something else, it would've been a way better book, imo.
