A delightful exploration of the science, traditions, customs, and meaning of Hanukkah, with the dreidel used as a sort of road map.
This story informs readers on the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah. It talks about the customs as well as the history. In Rome Judaism was banned, but the Jewish people helped destroy that rule, which is what is celebrated during Hanukkah. The book also mentions how to play dreidel as well as how to make homemade dreidels. Latkes are also the traditional food created for Hanukkah. This book showed many aspects of Hanukkah.
