I just did a review for a romance where there was zero SC and complained it didn't have much fire. Now, I'm on the other side of the spectrum.
This book focused too much on the SC and not enough on the plot. The writing was good, formatting good. No real new ground broken here however.
I have cooled off on reading paranormal romances. Currently, I am just trying to finish series I started a while back. But, this book was either free or 99 cents, and I have had it for a very long time. So, while I'm trying to get some older ebooks read, I noticed this one was really more of a short story, about 125 pages long. So, I read it in less than an hour.
I complained earlier about a book being too YA for my taste, since I am a more "mature" show more reader, but this one made me feel old. I like a good steamy romance as much as the next person, but at the age I'm at now, I prefer a little more emotional development and more focus on the plot.
We have instant chemistry between male and female protaganist. However, the hero happens to be a shapeshifter. A were- panther. Other than that the guy is the perfect fantasy.
Over all a C- show less

This was a hot, and very sweet were-story - very nicely written, although the font formats kept changing, and that was a little distracting.
The fluff scenes were very fluffy, and the whole plot was well done.

A good read, worth the time. The story was solid with a good plot. Some of the scenes were choppy or just unnecessary, but the author's next book corrected a lot of those issues as she improved tremendously with experience and time. The story has stayed with me, probably because I liked the next book so much.
A good love stroy with a bit of danger thrown in, cause that's always fun. It gives me hope that Breeds or Carpatians are real (smile)
