*This book contains doctrinal error concerning marriage, divorce, and remarriage (MDR). James Bales taught that Christians were not under bondage of what Christ said in Matthew 19:9 if they divorced an unbeliever (citing 1 Cor. 7:15). Consequently, this false doctrine (oftentimes called "Bales' Doctrine") has become very popular in the brotherhood as marriage, divorce, and remarriage has become so commonplace. Christ was very clear with what He said in Matthew 19:9 (divorce & subsequent remarriage only for the innocent party after fornication has taken place), and properly examining what Paul said in 1 Cor. 7 in context will not show any contradiction with Matthew 19:9. I include this book in my library for reference only, and do not endorse the views of James Bales on this issue.* ( )
