This is not a deep book, but it is sure to spark the interest of a young child in the use of a microscope. Greg obtains a microscope and his whole family gets excited by all the different things they see. Illustrated by Arnold Lobel.
This science trade book is designed for early elementary readers. It will open new areas of discovery for your students and elicit many questions. A good book to read before your class embarks on their science projects.
If you own a microscope, this is a must. Selsam's other science titles for children are very nice, but most are out of print.
When Greg gets the microscope he's been wishing for, he finds a whole new world of tiny things.
