A colorful, lyrical, repetitive book that is great for beginning readers. ( )

The alliteration, rhymes, and rhythms of the text are fun to perform. It describes the bugs and their behavior without identifying them--a perfect opportunity for children to interact with the book! I love how the text is positive and celebratory ("I love bugs, even if I'm sometimes get freaked out") and the illustrations invite the reader into the bugs' world.

a boy talks about all the different bugs he love (big bugs, bugs that fly) and some bugs send him squealing.
