Good book. A cozy mystery with believable and good old down home characters. It is a fun read but a little predictable. I enjoyed it and look forward to reading the next one in the series.

This is a "closed room" cozy murder mystery set in a Maine island inn. There's a special crafting retreat to learn Lithuanian egg decorating which draws a non-sympatico group of women to the inn. Short and sweet!

The writing is good. There's little character development in this novella. As this book is part of a larger series, I imagine most of the scene setting and main character development happens in the full books in series. I guess I'll just have to read those too ;-)

Very good. I love the setting of small town and farming community that enhanced the plot. Characters were relatable. This is a fast paced mystery with several suspects and twists. I will be reading the next book in the series soon.

I really enjoyed this book but noticed a few problems with the plot. One major one was that this novel felt as though it dragged on far too long. There was also the fact that the main character often mentioned her distaste of guns, but she lives in the country in Texas. I found that extremely annoying that the author felt the need to mention this so often. Other than that, I enjoyed learning about the characters and the mystery itself. I enjoyed the ending even though I had expected it.
