This biographical book covered the life of the Dalai Lama. The author wrote of his early childhood in his Tibetan village. From a young age, he was raised in a monastery. He became the Dalai Lama at a young age. Tibet was invaded by the Chinese government in 1950, and has never left. The Dalai Lama fled to India to be safe from the Chinese government. Since 1950, The Dalai Lama has been fighting for the freedom of the Tibetan people since 1950. I would use this book to teach my students show more about conflict resolution and compassion. show less
