actually learned a lot but it was hard to read.
artists didn't sign their work. They had contracts. You could hire somebody in the union to paint some of your contract. Now experts identify the artist by his style. It is hard to identify the work by the contract because most have have been removed from their original frames and cut if they are too big, or an awkward shape. Work has also been "cleaned or fixed" and done badly.
