This document is valuable to persons who are interested in the history of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and nondenominational Christian Churches/Churches of Christ in Minnesota. At the time of the writing, there were 48 such churches in Minnesota, of which 35 responded to a request by the author to provide a history of their congregation. In all, reports are made on 37 churches. There is information here that cannot be found elsewhere.

The summary lists persons who were prominent show more in college work (eight), missionaries sent to foreign lands (nine), prominent men coming to the state to dedicate churches (Z. T. Sweeney, O. W. Stewart, F. M. Raines), occasional preachers in the state (D. R. Dungan, Cyrus Northrup), evangelists who held meetings in the state (nine), and notable persons who left the state (F. H. Groom, Perry J. Rice, Carey E. Morgan, James E. Denton).

The Disciples of Christ Historical Society in Nashville, Tennessee is the only known library holding a copy of the thesis. show less
