A very nicely done introduction to American History for Kidergarteners, briefly covering the beginning of man and Christianity, and moving on to the discovery, colonization, and formation of the government of America. Includes study of the oceans and continents, as well as an overview of the Civil and World Wars. Concludes with observing how America has changed and encourages the student to help be a good steward of the nation God has given us.

Abstract
Composing music is a difficult task when you have been told that it is hard to do. The
purpose of this project was not only to institute a young composers’ competition into an
elementary school, but to make writing music fun and accessible for all the students at
Grande Reserve Elementary School. Using engaging lessons and online composition
software, students were able to watch their creations grow and change right before their eyes.
They could manipulate melodies and edit rhythms in show more order to craft their own perfect opus.
In order to subjectively judge the competition, entries were distributed to 27 judges
ranging in age, teaching experience, and music base knowledge. The judges used a twelve
point rubric based on the research of Dr. Maud Hickey from Northwestern University, and
determined a first, second, and third place winner. These students then performed their own
pieces at the spring band, orchestra, and choir concert. show less
