Admit it, you've always wanted to cook on your car engine. Admit it! Manifold Destiny is just the cookbook you need if you want to bake some tuna wiggle under the hood of your sedan on the way to grandma's house. Complete with instruction on how to turn your engine block into a hooded range on the open road, this hand little road-trip cookbook has all of the recipes you'll need to bake while you brake, cook while you book, and roast while you coast, everything from hot dogs to leg of lamb. show more For the inventive chef with places to go, or at the very least, the casual collector of weird cookbooks. show less
This is a handy beginner's guide to ghosts and spirits that I found at the local library sale a while ago. I wasn't sure on the value of the information, but knew it would either be a nice addition to my own paranormal shelf or to my Little Free Library, especially with Halloween approaching.

There is some really good information in this book. It's well researched and combined with pictures and illustrations that really help the topics being discussed. Starting with what a ghost is, Maynard show more also goes into the history of ghost stories, a few haunted locations and well known hauntings, and even the basics of researching claims with basic ghost hunting techniques (the book was originally written in 1977 and updated in 1991, so the equipment mentioned isn't recent, but it is still viable, especially for a beginner that can't necessarily afford fancy meters and digital readers).

All in all, a handy little book and a worthy addition to my paranormal shelf.

This book is so great. On each page there is a picture of a kid dressed up in what different people would wear for the job they are talking about. This is perfect because kids may actually see themselves doing one of the jobs someday since there are kids on each picture doing those jobs.
This was actually a very good book for kids to read that are interested in life in Medevil times. The Story is fictitious about a boy named Thomas. Now, one of the things I like is that Thomas was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Son of a rich lord who had to be taken away from his kingdom as his father's lands fell to the Baron.

The book takes you through the life of this young lad and how he had to grow up. Fortunately, he had a rich family to take care of him. So he grew up to learn show more to be a Page, then a Squire, a Knight and finally he became King of his own lands.

The Book walks you through what life could have been for this boy. It generally describes life in what castles were all about. The book also clearly points out that this could have been life at the top. There are many other lives in Medevil times that are much different. Depending on which class you were born into.

Little side bars gives the young reader a taste for different aspects of Castle life. Everything from food to weapons to clothing is covered in these side bars. It offers the young reader a glimpse of what Castle life could be.

The Font and spacing of this book for the young reader is meant for those who can read by themselves and at a higher level. The pictures are specific to the topic at hand which is good because if the young reader is curious as to any specific topic they have a visual to research it.

I recommend this book for the young reader.
