I have practiced yoga for many years but found myself lacking the concentration and inclination needed for attending a class.
This book is a gem!
The excercises are paced well and well thought out - your body slowly but surely strenghtens and becomes more flexible with a ridiculously small amount of daily effort.
I'd recommend the book to anyone interested in yoga, even as a prep course before attending your first yoga class or going back to one after some downtime or a lenghty absence.

Certain show more exercises are a bit dated, but if you have a basic knowledge of yoga you should be able to modify them to better protect your joints.
I'd caution beginners to look the triangle pose up on the internet to avoid putting too much stress on the knees.

I learned Yoga as a teenager watching Richard Hittleman on tv. 40+ years later I still practice and appreciate Yoga, believing that "flexibility is the key to youth." The physical and mental benefits of these postures are profound, and this book is all you need to begin.
This book is specifically designed for women (and men too!) who haven't the time, patience or energy to waste on calisthenics, isometrics or other "hard-work" routines. It's so logically arranged you'll perform a new exercise each day and use your new bodily and muscular skills to advance easily from simpler to the more complex movements.
While it took me considerably longer than 28 days, I worked my way through the entire book and found the entire program fantastic. I've improved a lot since I started with this, and I always feel great after doing it. I just need to make sure that I keep it up!
