There are probably better and more complete Beatles biographies by now, but at the time this came out, it was a very enjoyable and well illustrated introduction to the works of the Fab Four, and it should undoubtedly please most readers today, as well. The coverage is evenhanded and gives credit where credit is due.
I really enjoyed this book. It really brings to life the early days of the band, and their interactions with other important figures and events.
Excellent survey of British rock'n'roll and its impact on America in the 60s. Lots of great photos as well.
