This concept was nice but I don't think small kids would not grasp the lesson. The illustration was outdated but still colorful and nice. I do think there was just to much stray from the concept of the story.
Story includes information on Jackie Robinson, then a short biography of Jackie Robinson and a few activities.
Age Appropriateness: Early Elementary
Review: This is an example of Contemporary Realistic Fictionthat is created by the author, but contains students in a realistic setting. Everything that occurs in the book (such as liking different things) would really happen, yet the characters and story are made up.
Characterization: Ollie's character is revealed to us by what his friends are saying about his preferences. He is a round character because as the story goes on, we learn more and more about show more him, however he is also static because his character does not change.
Media: Computer graphics. show less
