THE DEEP ONES: "The Challenge from Beyond" by Moore, Merritt, Lovecraft, Howard and Long in The Weird Tradition (September 2021)
Reviews
Several writers contribute towards this supernatural short story. Robert E. Howard's involvement is unfortunately minimal. I suspect the tale would've been much more upbeat had he been more apparent.
Lovecraft's section proved especially tedious in this monotonous yarn about a man being transported to another world via a cube he discovers.
There are some clever elements towards the end, hence my rating the piece 2 stars instead on 1, but overall I found this too slow-paced and mundane.

Meistes eher durchschnittlich, manches wirklich gut. Aber oft heftig rassistisch, insbesondere die Afrika-Storys.
