Quilter's Favorites: Pieced Points and Stars is a large quilt book, containing 19 quilt patterns from many well-known quilt designers and teachers. I really liked this book, as it contains a lot of different methods and styles of quilts. There are also patterns made for beginners and some for more advanced quilters. Each pattern is labeled on its difficulty. From paper-piecing, to making curvy star legs, to New York Beauties, to making template-free stars, you will find many projects that show more appeal to you. And if you haven't learned to make star points by now, at the end of the book, I guarantee you will have them down pat.
There are so many patterns in here that I have seen before and have been thinking about making, but they are all here in one book, all together!

Definitely not for beginners, as there are a lot of techniques mentioned without explanation, most of which sound like complicated quilting methods (at least to this beginner). The projects are heavily weighted toward Advent calendars, and about a quarter of the projects are the same basic design with only minor differences. There are very few step-by-step illustrations to aid comprehension. On the plus side, the templates in the back are all at 100% scale.
