12 sermons and addresses on the subject, particularly interesting as the author is the son of the traditional Evangelical J C Ryle, author of "Holiness" among other books. Some chapters merely recommend the work of the Bible Society but others tackle the subject of inspiration and deal with "modern" OT criticism. He accepts compilation of books of the OT, authorship by non traditional authors, and that it can no longer be taken at face value for its teaching about nature. He is sure of its show more inspiration and convincingly distinguishes this from inerrancy. show less
