This is not a brilliantly written and edited biography. It is an honestly written and edited biography. I got a good feel for who Payne Stewart was and I feel infinitely sad that Tracey and her kids did not get a chance for another eighteen years of sharing his joy of life.
Reading the book was not a waste of time but the photograph of Payne and his caddy, Mike Hicks reacting to the final putt of the 1999 U.S. Open told the whole story of Payne Stewart in one picture.
