I have to say that I received a copy of this book on Wednesday and read it the same day! It was an easy charming read that moved quickly and kept my attention.
The writing is wonderfully descriptive, you can picture yourself there on the rugged island/farm and I liked the characters immediately.
It's listed as the first in a series and I am looking forward to the next book. Ms Moone has set up an exciting premise for a great series.
While I think the story line is great, I'd love for it to be show more fleshed out a bit more. I think that as the series moves along we will get more back ground on the area, characters and such, and since I enjoyed it so much I'll be glad to wait! The ending left me with a lot of questions and wanting more, which is exactly what I would want in a series.
I'd recommend to anyone who likes Hannah Howell or any shifter romances. show less

Scottish Werebear: A Forbidden Love: A BBW Bear Shifter Paranormal Romance (Scottish Werebears Book 3) by Lorelei Moone
If you love angst, this is not the series for you. I'm not a fan of angst, so am really enjoying it, even if the lack of upset isn't really believable. But then, shifters aren't real either, so why quibble? In this third novelette, Aidan's boss finds himself mated (view spoiler). Although, there isn't much surprise in the identities of each, or how they relate to each other without them previously realizing it.
I liked Alison as a character--she has gone along with things, but was never a show more true believer. This makes her transition easier, but the impact on her family is not glossed over. Yes, serious and dangerous events occur in this series, but the characters get on with their lives, even if haunted or worried about a situation.
This book had more direct action and less narration than the previous one, though the overall light touch remains the same.

shifters, romance, conflict, family-dynamics
The publisher's blurb is rather extensive, so no need for a recap. The deep personal conflict that the main characters feel is managed very well and the story grabs you and makes you finish it in one sitting. Excellent!
Patrick Blackthorne is excellent as narrator.

Scottish Werebear: A Dangerous Business: A BBW Bear Shifter Paranormal Romance (Scottish Werebears Book 2) by Lorelei Moone
I loved this book!! I sat down and ended up reading not only book 1 but book 2 also in one day. I jsut couldnt put it down. Aidan is just looking for answers, who killed his parents and why, was it because they were found out? Then a new rookie to work with in the Alliance annoys him more than anything. But one look and she has turned his world upside down. I was on the edge of my seat, hoping it wasnt going to blow up in their face, hoping they could.... Then Jamie, the boss, who neither of show more them trusts for reasons they are not sure......
Definitely a series to add to your must read, if your into paranormal, romance, and some old fashion sides. And an author to follow for sure show less
