Hunter Betrayed (Wild Hunt, #1) by Nancy Corrigan
Calan, the leader of the Wild Hunt, goal is to protect the world from the Unseelie Court. He falls in love with Harley, the daughter of, Dahm, the Unseelie Prince. Both will need to make sacrifices to save themselves and the world.
I like Calan. He is a worthy leader. He is willing to make sacrifices, unfortunately it doesn’t always work out as he plans. He has a good heart and tries to do what is best for mankind and his family.
Harley has show more had a difficult life. Despite her father, she is a good person. I like that she is tough and has strong morals.
Raul is an attention-grabbing bad guy. I enjoyed that he was a redcap. He kept you guessing about his actions.
Hunter Betrayed is a fast-paced interesting story. The ending was fantastic and definitely left me wanting to continue reading the series. Nancy Corrigan created a strong foundation for the Wild Hunt Series. This is a great novel for people whom enjoy contemporary Fae novels.

Baiting the Royal: Royal Shifters (Mainstream Fiction version) (Shifter World®: Shifter Affairs Book 3) by Nancy Corrigan
I was given a free copy of this, and the previous two books, in exchange for an honest review.
It appears I'm in the minority here, but it took me a long time to get through this book when I can normally devour a novel in a sitting or two. The overall plot wasn't bad, and kept me going, but I had major issues with Uri and Lyla.
We met Uri in the first book, as Rick's new partner, and I liked him immediately. Quirky, a stickler for rules and obviously fiercely loyal, I looked forward to his show more pairing. Lyla, too, seemed strong and determined to fulfill her role in Shifter Affairs, because of the past she'd overcome.
Without driving into spoilers, I now found Uri to often be completely ignorant of Lyla's feelings and past. She escaped a fate of being a caged pet to find a potential lover who repeatedly emphasizes his "possession" of her. And while she is originally displeased with this - moreso due to her wanting more out of their relationship than his dominant crap - she quickly welcomes the concept as part of being one's true mate.
I'm a fan of sexy, dominant men in my fantasy stories, but I found this series forced that line a little too heavily.
I also found, as in previous books, that finer editing was required, as there were at least a few repetitive sentence fragments, even within the same scene, that need fixing.

Nancy Corrigan’s Favorite Obsession is a fast-paced and thrilling shapeshifter novel. Human, Josh Conway, is determined to make royal cat shifter Mira Moore his. All he needs to do is convince her, her family, and the Shifter Council to accept him. This contemporary PNR takes place in West Virginia and is suitable for adult audiences.
Nancy Corrigan does a fantastic job with her character development. I felt bad for everything that Mira went through. What Edmund did to her was appalling. I show more like her twin, Devin. He is honorable and cares deeply for her. I love Josh. He went through some interesting changes throughout the story. I like Josh’s sister, Zoe. I am interested in finding out more about her and Kade. Micah Krisban was a noteworthy antagonist.
The plot was unique and carefully thought out. The lack of rights the female shifters have drove me crazy. They are behind in women’s liberation. The Shifter Council was quite meddlesome and added interesting conflict to the story. A lot happened in Favorite Obsession that kept this story exciting and hard to put down. This was the first story I have read in the Royal Pride Series. I am now interested in reading the initial two stories and continuing to follow this series.

I enjoyed the storyline and enjoyed watching Mya and Rick fall for each other, despite the circumstances.
I did find the writing to be, at times, repetitive, especially in their conversations. I also had to grind my teeth each time someone referenced that the shifter world didn't really offer any rights to females, especially the so-called "breeding partners". Yes, our leading male laments that it's terrible that their society views women that way... but they still all mostly accept it as show more so.
But I did enjoy the story, enjoyed how the plot unfolded and how it looped our side characters in. It also appears that Mya and Rick should, at least, have a supporting role going forward onto our next couple, which I look forward to. show less
