Fantastic first of series!! Each book can be read as a stand alone novel, but you have a great deal more information about each character and the different wolf packs that make up the series. Rogue Alpha is about Malcolm Devane and Laura Prince. Malcolm is trying to make up for a mistake he was exiled for by completing a task that may well be suicide. Laura is participating in an internship as a student working to complete undergraduate studies in biology. Her life becomes a nightmare after show more being accosted and almost raped by the supervising professor. Both of their lives are in danger and they try to deal with an uncontrollable attraction to each other. The story is fast paced, action packed and full of erotic tension. This is one of the more edgy and violent shifter worlds. Not really my cup of tea, but well written and compelling.

I read this book out of order. It is second in the Wild Lake Wolves series by Kimber White. I enjoyed the book and will read the rest of the series. This book is about Luke Tully and Taryn Redbird Kane. Taryn is totally unaware of the history between the Odawa and the wolves. Luke is more than aware of the history and is afraid it will make Taryn hate him. To make matters more stressful Luke is quickly loosing his human side to his wolf side. Without Taryn's help he may lose complete show more control. The storyline is fairly fast paced. You want Luke to get his act together, Tarmyn to discover the secrets and be happy, Beau to get incarcerated or die and for Grandpa Redbird to come out of his dementia long enough to tell Tamryn the secrets. No cliffhanger!! I received a copy of the ebook in exchange for reviews. It's a good book. If you enjoy reading series then buy the series all together. Cover/Title: The cover lured me in with those awesome wolf eyes.

Characters: Laura is sweet but tough when she needs to be. The way a good heroine should be. Mal is the rugged male alpha wolf.. enough said there.

Plot: Mal is trying to save his friends and her by stopping a rogue wolf. Laura is caught between them as things get out of control during her internship.

Overall: I enjoyed the story. It was definitely a nice intro to the series. I hope some of the later are longer. This one seemed show more kind of short. I do like that each book is able to stand on its own but they are still linked. show less
