It wasn't the editing.
It's not a dark book with triggers.
Nope. None of that.
What show more it is, is a complete waste of time and space.
ALL the characters are TSTL, although the main female character is the crowning queen.

The dialog, the story itself, the characters will all give you a headache from the stupidity of it all.

Don't believe me?
Go ahead and waste your money and time.

Genres: Adult (though I hesitate to call it that), Paranormal, Romance, and a whole new category, TSTL. Meaning the entire story & all the characters are TSTL.

This book was horrendous.
The dialog, the characters, the story, every show more aspect of it was unBearable.
I thought I would never get through it.
It was so bad it was actually painful to read.
It was NOT painful due to darkness or anything like triggers. Nope.
It was the story itself. The way it was written. The characters, especially the main female, had to have had their brains eaten by some kind of parasite and they are trying to make us believe their actions have some sort of viability to them.
It makes your brain hurt with all the truly stupid things they think and do.

All this authors books on my shelf are going into my reject shelves.
Take my advice and save yourself from this painful experience.
Don't read them unless you are a sadist and enjoy causing your brain pain. show less

I love anthologies because there are so many new authors that you can discovered all at once. This anthology had one of my favorite authors Charlene Hartnady which was the main reason I chose to read it. But there are also many entertaining short stories by some very good authors. I enjoyed most of the novellas with an exception of a few which were just too raunchy for my taste but most of them have interesting characters and story lines. Of all the shorts, for me the most enjoyable reads show more were:

I don't understand all the 4 and 5 stars. It is okay, but no where near that good. The writing is mechanical. The story and characters are mediocre. There are editing mistakes in the writing of the story itself. It is show more slow paced and lacks depth. The synopsis on both Amazon and Goodreads makes it sound like its erotic. In truth, it barely makes it to New Adult. There is only one adult scene, and quite frankly, it lacks passion.
It's okay.
If the star rating was the same on Amazon as Goodreads I would give it 2 stars. To keep all my reviews of this story in line with each other I gave it 3 stars.
On Amazon 2 stars = I don't like it.
On Goodreads 2 stars = it was ok.
That is what this story is.
