One of the best reference materials for Japanese prints. It's not just an eye-candy, it teaches.
Art Nouveau by Gabriele Fahr-Becker breaks down it's information by location allowing you to see the impact of particular parts of Europe and America on the Art Nouveau movement. It provides the reader with resources like a basic glossary, high level artist bios and a complete reference list. This book was a educational resource which provided information on various art and craft influences including glass.

Somewhere between an inspirational book for designing your (dream or real) home and a beautiful book about the traditional inns of Japan. It makes a lovely gift book - for yourself!
I'm obsessed with this time period and style. I wish I had the funds to collect this stuff but it just so happens that Ronald Lauder is also sweet on this era too. And he is one of the richest men in the world. His collection is phenomenal, I don't stand a chance to amass as much stuff BUT he also has most of his hefty collection on view at his museum in New York, the Neue Gallerie. So I won't fight it, I'll just browse his accumulation...(sniff)...i want!...
