Emily Rose Townsend

Seals is a non-fiction book written by Emily Rose Townsend. It consists of 24 pages of both information and photographs of seals. In the book she goes over seals in general what they like to do and their body parts. Some of the words that are hard have also been defined in the back of the book. Before reading this book All I knew about seals was that they were arctic animals. Whereas after I had completed the book I learned so much more like the types of food seals eat. Although this is the show more first book that I recall reading from this author. I would definitely recommend this book to early elementary students. This was a book I read to my son. He enjoys hunting with his father and wanted to learn about these animals. We read it aloud together and he read it alone. The book has some good information about the life of a deer. The pictures were ok to me. Overall, it was an ok book.It is a book that could be used in a reading center for kids to look through when they choose.

This is a very simple introductory book about deer.
