I knew Bitcoin was a Ponzi scheme, and a big con, but I had questions about it. for example, about what is known as mining, and also why did it take so much energy to run bitcoin. I got my questions answered.
Obviously this author is promoting Bitcoin; well, he was hired by the con artists, right? Anyways, I am tired of reading about it in this book, I'm going to try other books about it that give a more unbiased opinion and information about buttcoin.

Coronavirus & COVID-19: What It Is, How to Avoid It, How to Survive It: COVID-19 Facts by Peter Kent
This book attempts to prevent facts regarding COVID-19.
It gives some background on exactly what coronavirus is, and is not. COVID-19 is just another form of the flu, right? (Wrong.) SARS-CoV-2 is the official name of the virus, while COVID-19 is the disease that comes from the virus. The author looks at exactly how it spreads.
What can the average person do to slow the spread? Stay home, if you can. If you have to go out, like for grocery shopping, the book tells what to do. If you think you show more have been exposed, self-isolation is a very good idea. How do you get a COVID-19 test? Last, but not least, how can a person build up their immunity?
An inherent limitation of a book like this is that whenever it is published or posted online, it is instantly obsolete. There are plenty of links throughout this book for further information. It was updated in the last month or two. It presents facts, as known at the time of writing, not suppositions, rumors or conspiracy theories. It is not meant to replace a trip to your local doctor, but it easily deserves six stars. show less

Answers all the questions an advanced user would ask...but is not pitched at programmers who use VB script and write macros. Excellent!
Peter Kent’s City Across Time
(From the stone age to the distant future)
By Peter Kent
Illustrations by Peter Kent
2010, Kingfisher, Macmillan Books
Review by Debra Louise Scott
Peter Kent takes an archaeologists look at the societal growth of mankind, showing how digging down through layers of soil will reveal how people lived and what they were interested in. Various types of artifacts are explored from stone age tools to what future archaeologists might find when they dig into our layer show more (cell phones, cars, etc) There are also some good pages about the types of tunnels that are constructed, from mining to secret bunkers.
Cultures are discussed not only in their everyday lifestyle but also in some of the religious habits, from the builders of stone circles to the elaborate trappings of organized religions.
There is a lot going on for each page, with cutouts of houses, garbage dumps, factories, wells, etc, and insets with more information about different slices of the culture. A child could easily spend a good chunk of time examining the whole thing and still find something new next time the book is opened.
For the detail oriented child with a good attention span. show less
