Today’s selection from “1001 Albums You Must Listen To Before You Die” by Robert Dimery. Mask from 1981. Goth rock. Pretty good. Hard driving base line. Wish I'd known about this album back then.

It`s a soundboard,but expects not too much(7/10),
it`s a little bit to loud in some parts and the
vocals are very much dominant.Three or four static
short noises(only a click)you can hear.A lot of
riot during the show ,Stigmata Martyr ends aprupt
because of the force against Peter Murphy.
PM:very sorry for the violence but there was
one member who was ...
The very special of the show is,that a weird
saxophon player is on stage and played with Bauhaus
"Hollow Hills" and "Dancing",I saw a show more lot of Bauhaus
shows,but never a show with a saxophon player.
the entire show is coined/shaped by force and noise.
No more to say for this show,enjoy it,it`s another
document of history in early Gothic days.

BAUHAUS - BERLIN SO 36 26.NOV. 1980 THE KILLER SHOW , BELIEVE ME !!! After all this Joy Division & New Order stuff in the last days , I think it�s time for an other important band from the " NEW WAVE " or " PUNK " time. BAUHAUS was for me one of the best and important groups from this area. I remember this show in Berlin, the SO 36 Club, an old Cinema and after that a low price Supermarket, a place for everything , for all the bad things you want to do with your girlfriend, but no place show more for a live concert , so cold , so steril , so bad influences ,a place , where the Devil want to live , whenever he decided to come back. This show from 26.nov. 1980 was so brilliant, perfect audience sound, the band playing if it goes for their lives, the audience so cool ( like Berlin audience in this time ) remember New Order 1984 at the Metropol , Berlin - We never , never playing Berlin again. Peter Murphy said after - Rosegarden Funeral Of Sores: YOu are to cool to clap And no one in the crowd is clapping , because the Berlin Audience was soooooo cool at this time. I remember an Alex Harvey Concert at the Kant Kino in Berlin, where nobody was clapping after the first song, you can hear a needle falling down at this venue and Alex Harvey only asked : you are suprised ???
