This holiday read is one that is full of funny banter and moments that has me laughing out loud one second to my heart hurting for the characters the next. When Tessa is down and out on a whim and advice from a psychic she heads out to find who she thinks will be her one true love, but what she isn’t prepared for is the chaos this trip is going to bring into her life. Tre is on his way home after spending so much time in the military he is going to see his family and his family are funny show more and enduring. when he is upgraded on his flight he isn’t ready for the spitfire that keeps him on his toes and for all the insanity that will follow. Fate throws these two in each other’s paths and they embark on a road trip to get to Portland, but the tension between them causes so much head butting that so much hilarity ensues. Tessa is a go with a flow type while Tre is the strict stay the course guy, but they both bring out the best in one another. As the trip continues and they find themselves in all these different situations they band together while simultaneously want to throttle each other and you can’t help but fall in love. Most holiday reads for me are a very cute one time thing to get me in the spirit then I move on to my next read, but this story had me going back to reread it again and again. It was absolutely brilliant and so much fun. show less
Oh what a fun ride this book was! This was a delightful road trip book, a trope that I didn't know even existed, that gave Tessa and Tre the chance to open themselves up to the possibility of a relationship they both wanted but never thought they would find. Their meeting is one THE Best Meet Cutes I have read this holiday season and seriously, this book needs to be made into a movie! Move over all you Christmas Royalty and Millionaires because I want an Army Ranger to be the star of my next show more Holiday Rom Com.
Tre was an amazingly stoic picture of a soldier who has seen to much and who was willing to cut himself off from love rather than risk his heart.
Tessa was so relatable as a woman who has lost so much, but who was still willing fighting back against life and work to find her joy. She is willing to risk all to discover a love, and family, that will make her heart beat stronger and steal her breath.
So when these two meet it is explosive! With all banter, snark, and simmering passions that only mixed up plane tickets on an overbooked Holiday flight can create, while at the same time there is mixed in screen worthy hysterical twists of fate that only a suprise road trip could offer.
I thought this was going to be closed door romance because this is a great slow burn enemies to lovers romance, but when Tre and Tessa finally admit how they feel and face the end of their trip and going their separate ways their passion explodes on the page and all I can say is WOW there is not need to turn up the thermostat when reading this book! show less

From the first book, I was hooked on this amazing family. I was fascinated about how a family that had such a heartbreaking loss could still grow despite the major setback that they had. Not only did they grow from that setback but they managed to excel. The love that these siblings have is out of this world. Even though I know this series is in Kindle Unlimited, I preorder any and all books that have to do with this family, including novellas, because that is how amazing they all show more are. Each book has a sighting of all the family members and shows how tight-knit the family is.
There is a sense of unity, camaraderie, love, and acceptance with each sibling along with a whole lot of banter. Even when things take on a heavier tone, it doesn't last long because nothing can keep these characters down. That was apparent in this book. The last book left off on the fact that Sedona was pregnant when Jamison came back into hers and Palmer's life. This was a shock, especially, because I wondered how the author was going to spin this since it was well-known that the new baby wouldn't be his. Finding out the answers to that was such a treat. It truly was one of my favorite parts of this entire series. I also loved how hands-on, literally, Jamison was with Palmer. Actually, how amazing the whole family was with Palmer which showed how they again were unified in not letting anything stand in the way of them being successful or having a huge support system. All of those scenes, and seeing how devoted Jamison was in righting his wrongs made this my favorite book.
My only complaint with the book had to do with Phoenix. I wanted to see the acceptance of Jamison again. It bothered me that their last scene was around an "anonymous" character. However, that disappointment didn't last long when I did get to see what was in store for more Alaska. I laughed and laughed at the Buzz Wheel secret. I cannot wait to see what happens next. I also loved the flash forward bonus scene that I was able to read after finishing this book. It is always bittersweet to see a series end, especially, one of this caliber. However, since I own all of these, I know I can come back and visit them over and over in order to get my Bailey fix. show less

I was utterly engrossed in the intense dynamic between Bryce, the sharp-witted sports reporter, and Miles Cavanaugh, the charming star player of the Chicago Grizzlies. Their initial hostility crackles with tension, eventually giving way to an irresistibly passionate romance. Rayne expertly crafts their journey, blending sharp dialogue, emotional depth, and a slow-burning connection that pulled at my heartstrings. With his athletic prowess and intellectual charm, Miles made for a captivating show more hero, and Bryce's layers of vulnerability beneath her bold exterior were beautifully portrayed. The novel's exploration of healing and self-discovery struck a chord with me, making the story feel incredibly genuine. With each page turn, I eagerly anticipate the next twist in this captivating love story. Piper Rayne has genuinely delivered a gem in the Chicago Grizzlies series. show less
