Summary
I Said No! is a nonfiction book or a “kid to kid guide on keeping private parts.” Wrote by Zack and Kimberly King and Illustrated by Sue Rama the book simply tells children when and how to say no. Using examples to show kids the “red and green flags” the story helps make things easier for the children to understand.
Review
In my opinion more than just a book this could be a useful tool to struggling children. The authors really understand that children are often too scared or show more too unsure to say no. And they handle the issue very well with the examples given by the book and the illustrations to help give children a second level of comprehension on the subject.
Classroom Ideas:
1. Talk to Children about the red and green flags.
2. Let children come up with their own ideas of red and green flags. show less

Told by Zach he helps kids learn when to say "No" to people who try to abuse you. This book provides a checklist in the form of examples of danger signals, like bribes, gifts, threats that a predator or potential predator might use. Each time an example is given, the words "RED FLAG!" are used. The child in the example is supplied with good verbiage and to shout, "NO! NO WAY!" quite loudly so as to be heard. Informing kids that their private areas are to stay private.
