Miriam Gilbert (1) (1944–)

This is the story of Elenor Roosevelt as a girl growing up. It is told from her point of view. It shares what she goes through before she was the lady everybody knows. It is kind of a basic chapter book, but still gives you a sense of what it was like to grow up in that era.

I didn't like the book as much as I thought, but think it can be a good first book to introduce some history. It also gives a girl's perspective of the history.

Excellent modern drama anthology. Major plays with succinct introductions followed by reviews contemporary with play's first major performances. Pictures. Now out of print, probably because of high permission fees. Anyone interested in modern drama should read the apparatus in this excellent book.
