I loved reading Amber's view of why this situation happened to her. She draws connections between her and Lacy that are just chilling.

I'm not completely convinced that Scott killed Lacy, yeah he's a super douche - but it doesn't all fit to me. What about the home invasion next door (even Nancy Grace says there are no coincidences in a murder investigation), and the witness seeing a pregnant woman fighting with a group of men putting her in the back of a white van? Many people saw Lacy at show more the park that day, when Scott was already gone for the day. The mailman time with the loose dog, and the hidden jailhouse phone calls between the home invaders talking about Lacy.. it's all suspect. Why would/did the police dismiss and plain out ignore and hide evidence? Not what I'd call a good investigation.

There wasn't really any other proof Scott killed Lacy, besides Scott being a lying cheating douche. I would say he had motive (new life with Amber), but that doesn't mean he did it.

Amber's book lets us see this investigation in another way and through her eyes. I also like how she leaned on her faith to get her through. It's a great testimony.

A short, easy read detailing Frey's involvement with Scott Peterson from meeting him to media circus to the trial to his conviction and sentencing. The transcripts of conversation with a mendacious Peterson may be the most interesting thing here, on the case. The rest if the difficulty one would expect when it starts to dawn on Amber that her lover is not only married, but a liar, and a murderer. Through this she has inordinate press attention to deal with and another, follow-up non-ideal show more relationship. show less
I can appreciate that Amber went through a lot of trauma due to Scott Peterson. The book would have been more enjoyable if she didn't need to relate everything back to God and try to turn it into "His will." I would also say she is def a little delulu thinking she is Laci's voice.
This book was awful, don't waste your time. Amber Frey comes off as very conceited as she gives her account of her meeting and time spent with Scott Peterson. She seems to have no regard for Lacy Peterson at all, only how she was affected by Scott Peterson.
