Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod

You and your Synod is an easy to read book about WELS. It includes it beginning and its growth, how WELS is organized, education,training of teachers and pastors, and missions, both foreign and domestic. Although written in 1972, it contains much information about the synod, especially its history, organization and goals. This book is found on the library shelves under the number 284.1/WIS.

This is a recording about Northwestern Publishing House. How they provide the Christ centered materials needed not only by our synod, but by the world.

Good News on the Great Plains is a history of the Nebraska District Congregations, a part of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. The history of our own Salem Church is included in this little book along with the history of other WELS congregations. This can be found on the library shelves under the number 284.134/WIS.

Before we had Forward In Christ, we had The Northwestern Lutheran. We have five years of this magazine. Each year is in its own binder. It is very interesting to look at these back issues. These binders are found in the library under the number 284.1/NOR.
