First, I would like to say a word about the narrator, Michael Paulley. The man deserves a giant, shiny gold star for being one of the main reasons, but not the only reason that I gave this book a five-star rating. Michael Pauley's performance was simply amazing and truly showed the pain that Adrian had throughout his life. He gave these characters life, and a believable voice. Well done, Mr. Pauly!! Now, about the story...Adrian is not what he seems to be. He was not very likeable much less show more lovable at first... but he has his own reasons and he had been hurt badly. He's had a crush on Sterling since book #1. Sterling is an older man and the owner of The Shepherd, a kink club. He lives in the penthouse above it. Adrian is an omega who is most of the time outspoken to the point of rudeness. He hasn't had the best upbringing and his parents are homophobes with capital letters. This story takes place 4 years after Adrian's brother Gabriel goes missing and that also contributes to Adrian's attitude. He blames himself and he may share a portion of the blame but not all of it. He does improve gradually throughout the book and things do get better. Sterling was absolutely perfect and adorable.... patient, caring all helping to break down Adrian's stonewalls. About Gabriel...We learn he was a young man that really never had a chance. He was taken by a monster and signed into what he thought was a binding D/s agreement and then it all went wrong leaving him utterly, thoroughly broken.... seemingly almost beyond repair. His healing process wasn't easy...at one point it seemed impossible...but I won't reveal any more...but will say we will learn more about this in book #4. The first two books should be read before this one or book #4. This has been one of my favorite Piper Scott series and this book was even better, than the first two...if that is even possible. This story has a lot of angst and there is a lot of emotion here with plenty of heat. This one is definitely an emotional rollercoaster...but OH WHAT A RIDE! show less
I truly adore this world. The Drakes and their mates are a lot of fun to read about. I really enjoy getting to meet each new member of the family, and frankly, I think that Misha may be my new favorite omega in the family.
Misha is smart, tricksy, and fierce. He will have no problem with cutting a beyotch, if he has to, but he'd so much rather steal everything from you digitally. I really like that about him, and that he's so very upfront about who he is and what he wants. And he's not show more afraid to go after what he wants.
Reynard. Poor, sweet Reynard. He just had no clue what was about to happen to him, but really, Misha was about the best thing that could've happened to him. I think that they are perfect for each other.
I can't wait to see what happens next. show less

I swear by my pretty floral bonnet that I loved this book. And if you get the reference, good for you! You'll enjoy the names in the book just as much as I did.
So, the 4th book in the Single Dad Support Group series. I love these guys. I love that they are the next generation on from the His Command books, even though Simon and his brothers aren't related to any of those folks and the only connection to them is LoveHarley, through whom we get to the rest of the SDSG dads.
Simon has done show more mostly legal computer work for Harlow for years, and in that time, he's developed a real thing for H. So when Harlow's daughter Evie, who plays Haraleah on Heaven, Locked, goes missing, Harlow turns to Simon for the coordinates of where she is. What neither of them realize is that the coordinates are to Simon's apartment because the friend that Simon's younger brother Shep had staying with him is Evie. Well, no one realizes it until right before Harlow breaks Simon's nose.
Simon really is a filthy, filthy boy, and I loved every word of filth dripping from his mouth. It was wonderful and dirty and OMG. Harlow, for all that he's a former SEAL is really loveable. I loved the back and forth in between the SDSG dads, and the addition of Jayne, Simon's older brother, to the group. I think Jayne will be fabulous in the group and can't wait to see how he will make everything change. show less

I wasn’t sure what I was getting into with this book, and there were certainly parts about it that I weren’t expecting, and certain tropes that I don’t generally like, but the humor in this book and the way the interspecies communication was handled made it extremely fun. As I was reading, I found myself thinking “I don’t generally like this; why am I liking it now?” and have come to the conclusion that the authors removed the part of it that I don’t like in order to leave show more something I feel is more true to the gay romance genre. Personally, I loved this book, and think it’s for anyone that loves gay romance, college romance, books where the parents don’t understand, and anyone who thinks the English language is stupid. show less
