This time things are heating up between Charli and Mason. Which made me so happy as I am totally shipping her and Mason. Now I don't really have anything against Dash, but they just don't pair up like her and Mason do. However, when he comes back, Charli is all conflicted again and it actually started to get on my nerves. She's bordering on cruel at this point by leading them both on and not making a decision. As much as I want her to choose Mason, I would just be happy if she would choose show more at all.
So with my take on the romance aspect out of the way....lol. I liked the mystery part the best of the series. It was interesting to learn of Lucky's back story, but I found the story to be so much more intense this time, which considering a lack of a murder through most of the book to be a surprising thing. But it was definitely more nail biting then the first three. I'm excited that there will be another in the series available soon. This is a cute series that I enjoy casually reading

Well the time has come and Tucker and Clem are getting married so what does Charli do...attends the bridal shower cause we know thats going to go well don't we! While Charli acts as cool as a glass of sweet tea the smarmy chef Duke tries to put the moves on her as well as stealing the locals baking tricks which results in Clems cake exploding eek! Unfortunately for Duke his stay in the quaint town doesn't last long as he ends up dead and yup Charli finds him, she then decides she needs to show more help the Wardens as Mason is out of town and Big Willie seems out of his depths actually investigating. From here we have plenty of lol moments, tense times, twists you don't see coming, warning of changes coming to the Town and the best part Charli starting to work out who she really is and what she wants from life!!

This was a great cozy mystery and so much more, the pace was great and a story line that kept you hooked. Chari has just arrived back in town after leaving for her own reasons but is obviously wary after leaving her fiance in the lurch when she went. She hasn't even been back in town for a day before she comes across her Great uncle Tippers body and it is all down hill from there. Now Chari has to try and find Tippers killer or she will die herself from the Death curse boy is that girl a show more trouble magnet! There are plenty of red herrings along with twists and surprise while we go along for the ride and Charli along with Mason to work out who the killer is. You get to meet many of Charli's friends and family as well as town folk that makes you want to visit Honeysuckle Hollow.

“I swear, you don’t go looking for trouble. You hunt it down, tackle it to the ground, and claim it as yours.”

As always my reviews are based off of my true and honest opinion and I do my best to keep all reviews spoiler free.
Charli Goodwin has returned to Honeysuckle Hollow. Her home, and sanctuary to all magic creatures. Here you will find vampires, werewolves, witches, and more. It's good to be home. Till Charli finds her Uncle Tipper dead. Due to Charli's powers of show more finding lost things, she assists Mason a detective in solving the murder. When Charli's life ends up in danger she has no choice but to solve it and she has to solve it fast.

This book was my very first introduction to the Cozy Mystery genre and I fell in love, with both this book, the series, and the genre. The characters are so loveable. Charli is strong and independant, plus she has two hotties interested. Her group of friends seem obviously close, although the crushes happening there seem a bit too juvenile for me. I'm a huge fan of paranormal books so I liked the presents of it here, but it wasn't a huge focus of the story, and I think with a small amount of tweaking this book could have easily been done without it. There was so much happening in this book that it never got boring. It's an easy to read, comfortable book, and I'm excited to see where this series leads.
