As a quilter and garment sewist and embroidery enthusiast, I am always looking for ways to push my technique further and this book scratched that itch in so many ways. Not only am I starting a quit integrating these fabric manipulation techniques, I can also use them in my future clothes making. I've tried a few from the book so far and the instructions have worked out perfectly with similar results to the book samples. This book is a lot of fun and is going to be a lifelong reference for me.
This is a good reference for different ways of using fabric creatively. However, I would have liked to have seen more pictures of the techniques being used in actual projects, and not just samples. Nor did I see anything that I didn't already know. The big advantage to the book is having all the various techniques together.

The German translation is generally quite good. 'Swiss cheese' should have been translated 'Emmenthaler'.
