In my opinion this is a great book for children. I really liked this book for the mere fact that children love the characters in Madagascar. For example, I took this book as an option to read to my students at internship and it was one of the first picked by the students. I asked them prompting questions like “what do you think happens” and the children were able to answer based on their recollection of the movie, but some parts were different in the book, so it caught them by surprise show more when we were reading. I also liked how silly this book is. All of the animals have a great sense of humor. It’s fun to get into character with this book and read with different tones. There are so many silly pictures of animals making different facial expressions, which make it fun to make different voices to match their attitudes, and the children love this as well. The purpose of this book is to tell a story about animals that escape the zoo, but after a little adventure through New York, they end up on a shipment boat to Africa, where they encounter another bundle of setbacks. show less
i think this would be a good book for a little kid but i found it hard to follow as an adult. the plot kinda went nowhere and there was only 5 pages with general grievous when on the bsck it akes it sem like he is a main character.
