Reviews
Accompanying catalogue for the exhibition at the NG in 2003. It has very good introductory essays, covering Titian's life and times, his practice as a portrait painter and his replicas, and there is also detailed information about technique and analysis of paint samples. The downside is that the exhibition includes only a sample of Titian's paintings, so if you're looking for a book which includes entries on all his most famous works, this doesn't quite fit the bill. It is very good on those show more paintings it does include, though. show less
