“A Ready Reference on Customs and Correct Procedures Which Pertain to Commissioned Officers of the Army of the United States.” Inside, the 25 chapters contain 493 pages of intel on everything from appropriate uniform and equipment, to provision in anticipation of death.
Everything you need to know to be an army officer, at the time of WWII. Includes large sections on hats, uniforms, insignia, badges, boots, etc.
Encyclopedic in scope, each skill is well described with directions for how to proceed accompanied by illustrations. Each topic may be beginner's level, but the scope of the work makes it a reference book for people who spend a lot of time in the wilderness or are likely to be stranded for any length of time. Probably useful to scouts as well.
beautiful, awe-inspiring photos of mountains and mountain climbers. amazing!
