A colorful science discovery book full of images of the life of a river. Detailing all the creatures living both in and on the river and informing about how necessary the river is for these creatures. With acetate "surprise" images throughout, showing how the river changes from days with heavy rainfull to the drier days of summer. Packed with information, this is a great book for kids to enjoy as well as learn more about the world around them.
Children can use the colored transparencies in this spiral-bound board book to watch birds hatch and swim, trace the fascinating life cycle of the dragonfly, and learn about the plant and life of the river.
Age of Child: My friend used this book with her first-grade students.

Young Reader Reaction: The kids loved this book.

Adult Reader Reaction: The text was easy to follow, the content was good, and the illustrations were detailed and thorough. The transparent pages are a nice addition.

This book talks about how bears raise their cubs (young bear), and how they interact with each other. Bears are dorsile animals. But like most wild animals they only attack to protect and safe guard their domain.
