The World Must Know: The History of the Holocaust as Told in the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum by Michael Berenbaum
Utterly heart-rending, but essential reading, particularly in this despicable era of hatred of anything different from ourselves.
The world must know, the world must remember, lest history repeats itself, and Americans are left in bewilderment, muttering "I didn't know, I didn't understand, I was just following our leader".

What a great find. Husband found it in the discount section of a local bookstore. The book is very interactive, set up kind of like a scrap book. Lots of things of interest to take out of pockets and such. Takes the reader through a brief history of the holocaust including brief stories from those involved. Relatively quick read, great coffee table book.

this volume commemorates the victims of the Holocaust, using photographs of the museum's artifacts to document the human stories.
This is a unique interactive book. Includes CD with audio of Holocaust survivors. Book includes interactive copies of primary resources that provide the sensibility of an exhibit on your hands.
