Dr. Carter-Scott provides a great overview of the coaching experience from both the coach and coachee perspective. Her ideals are right in line with mainstream coaching except for a brief foray into describing the importance of chakras.

She focuses on what it takes to be a "brilliant coach." This is the coach that can make a real connection with their client to fully support lasting and meaningful change. What I liked best was her attention given to what a coach needs to do for "self care" to show more maintain the energy needed for these ongoing relationships.
