While this is well-organized and indexed and it carries more quotes than its small size would indicate, websites are better set up for this task. I'll occassionally dip into it to find a quote for a birthday card, but in general, this just sits on a shelf collecting dust.

My 9th grade English teacher threatened to weld this book around my neck. An invaluable tool from the days before spellcheck that's still the most effective quick check for spelling.

Too bad the print is so small, but then the size is carry around, pocketbook size.

4-in-1 "vest pocket" sized edition of the Dictionary (40,000 entries), Spelling Dictionary (40,000), Thesaurus (57,000 words), Practical English Handbook (grammar, etc). Wonderful and complete convenient size for quick corrections.

I changed out my Dictionary with a Medical Dictionary in the same size.
