About the Author
Ford Lewis Battles (1915-1979) was one of the leading Calvin scholars of his day, and wrote many seminal journal articles on the Reformation. He was professor of church history at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary from 1967 to 1978, when he became a visiting professor at Calvin Theological Seminary
