"Earthquakes" by Ker Than is an informational book about earthquakes. The book includes a table of contents, a resource page, a glossary, an index, and many diagrams within the book to help the reader understand what the author is writing about. I liked this informational book because it helped explain the causes and effects of earthquakes by using the example of an earthquake that has already occurred. Also, pictures were included from the earthquake in 1906 to show the damage that it had show more done. I also like how when I was reading, it did not feel like the author was talking at me, it was more like he was talking to me and generating a discussion in my head about earthquakes. The book also interested me because it was not just black and white throughout, there were many different colors that drew me in and led me to read this book about earthquakes. This is an informational book about a natural phenomenon so it is hard to find a distinct message, but I think that the author's point was to educate readers on why earthquakes happen, their effects, and what to do if you are ever to experience one. show less
Stars is a very interesting book. Even though it is way below your grade level it will teach you things you never knew like what a super nova is, how to classify stars, how stars form, blue stars are the hottest type of star
