I have referred to this book since I got my first sewing machine. I have always found it helpful. It covers technique for beginners and advanced seamstresses. The drawings are clear and easy to follow. The text is well written. There are many color photos. They are outdated now in style but the principles are the same.
This book tells all types of fashion. It also tell you how to hem your clothes, the seam in your clothes. It gives you more than enough details about clothes and fashion. It talks about style and the material of clothes. It is the perfect reference for increasing fashion vocabularies, injecting a stimulating term or phrase in conversations about wearing apparel, or making articles written about clothing more understandable. Fashion writers, costume designers, manufacturers, buyers, sales show more people — anyone interested in the history of fashion — will welcome this thorough and comprehensive guidebook. show less
