Reviews
A slim, beautifully-illustrated introduction to one of the most important Christian devotional genres in the High and Late Middle Ages, Books of Hours. Roger Wieck's explanation of the origin, purpose, and development of the various components of the average Book of Hours is concise and clear. The illustrations largely come from the collection of the Morgan Library.
