They say never judge a book by its cover, but in this case, it’s never judge a book by its title. Oh Baby! may be an unusual title for a book (or anything else, for that matter), but as a friend of mine pointed out, it’s original. Plus, you’ll be enjoying yourself too much to bother about the title once you’ve started reading the book.

Oh Baby! is essentially a cross between The Devil Wears Prada and Gossip Girl, only with slightly less sex and more drama. The characters are unique, show more but in a way that you’d still be able to relate to them, even if you aren’t their age. I especially liked how the perspective keeps switching between Abby and Jamie. It makes the whole plot more interesting, and keeps readers turning the pages. The writing is witty, amusing, and full of personality, and the cover is just breathtaking. Readers would also pick up a few life lessons from the book.

I admit that I had a lot of fun reading this book. It’s funny, but also feel-good and heartwarming. Overall, a refreshing summer book to read and relax.

Abby and Jamie are from an extremely small town and want nothing more then to get out and do something with their lives. They have graduated high school and now aren't really sure what they want to do.

So after some thinking, they decide to be nannies for the first semester instead of going to school, so that they can afford to go to the big city for college. They end up on opposite coasts and they learn all kinds of things.

I really liked this show more super-fast read. Not only did it have two great main characters, it also had laughs, fights, cute kids, drama, and romance. OH BABY! is something to just relax and read for fun. show less
The tragic death of her father leaves Grace traumatized and disinclined to do just about anything. Regan, her sister, on the other hand acted as if nothing had changed as she continued on with her daily routines. Regan, who is self-absorbed, induces Grace to adopt a dog at the pound with her, the idea being she would train it to be a service dog in order for her college application to be more appealing. Grace not caring much about the whole scheme of things, including the pound venture, show more never realizes her world is about to change when a dog speaks to her and say’s “pick me!” A triumphant story about coping with loss after a tragedy, being brave when surrounded by doubt and fear and believing in a cause that will better someone’s life if not your own. show less
Not a bad read. It gave me some insight into Nancy Kerrigan's personal life growing up. I was surprised by the hardships her family faced, as it seemed she had always had an easy upbringing given her attitude during and after the 1994 Olympics. This book makes no attempt to hide its love for Kerrigan, and its dislike for Tonya Harding. It ends before things have settled with the attack on Nancy and before the Olympics have wrapped up. I am not sure why the author didn't just wait a little show more while longer to be able to give that information. The obvious bias aside, it is a brief, surface-level biography and is best to read if you are looking for a quick summary of Nancy's life before 1994. show less
